A few weeks ago I met with Katie and Sean in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. We wandered around Katie’s family farm and the neighboring woods, taking photographs on an early Sunday morning.
The sun was just peeking through the trees as we got started and the air was crisp as mountain air can be.
It was there, among the trees, that Katie and Sean’s barriers fell away and they let their love shine past the camera in front of them and into my photographs…
These two are madly in love, absolutely adorable, and completely perfect for each other.
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this October!
Katie’s family home was absolutely stunning! We hadn’t planned to shoot inside but I just couldn’t get enough of that beautiful natural light. I’m so glad we were able to snap a few photographs in the home because they turned out to be some of my favorites from the entire session.
As the sun rose over the mountains light came streaming through the wooded hillside. It lit up the previous evening’s spider webs which were laced delicately through the tall grass. The scene was magical!
We stole away behind the family home and into the woodshed for a few portraits. The light was soft, the setting intimate, and the scene all together pleasing. I live for moments such as these and I do believe that Katie and Sean were loving the moment even more.
She said yes! As if there were a doubt…
This portrait of Sean is one of my absolute favorites. For a man who claims to be camera shy, he sure does photograph well!
While walking through the woods Sean discovered this Bluejay feather floating on an abandoned cobweb. Good omens are all around us, all you have to do is open your eyes to see.
