Two women named Amanda flew me out to Los Angeles to take some kick ass boudoir photographs last spring. This is Amanda #1, a beautiful and creative designer I was lucky enough to meet at a workshop in San Diego a couple of years ago.
Amanda started planning for her one year wedding anniversary about 8 months early. We plotted in secret finding the perfect location for her boudoir session, via Airbnb, just a few miles from her home in Los Angeles. When she arrived for her session I dug through her goodies and fell in love with this wig instantly. Though pink isn’t my favorite color, pink hair is a whole different story. The first half of Amanda’s session was more natural and a little darker, a play between light and shadow. For the second half the wig went on and we dove straight into the bathroom. The aqua tiled walls and old vanity complimented the bright pink wig perfectly, lending a vintage feel to the modern cut and color.
This boudoir session will forever go down as one of my favorites and I will most definitely be on the lookout for more lovely ladies with pink (or purple, or blue, or green…) hair.
