Salute to the Sun
One day not too long ago I gathered together a team of my favorite people for an outdoor adventure and boudoir session on a cliff at sunset.
Brittany Woodcox worked magic on hair duty, provided a beautiful fur coat, and stood in as my assistant for the shoot.
My dear Andrew tagged along as well and stood in as our honorary snake frightener…
Side note: I was busy reading about rattlesnakes earlier that week and my paranoia grew to a climax before the shoot. I instructed Andrew to stomp around, poke the ground with a stick, and be our general savior from snakes. And it worked! There were no rattlers to be found at the peak of snake season… and the four of us had a lot of fun laughing and stomping our way through the tall grass.
And then there’s Melissa, a dear friend and former coworker, who agreed to bear not-quite-all on the top of a cliff while the wind whipped it’s chilly, grasping fingers around us.
The shoot was split into two parts, a country-style portrait session, and this – an outdoor boudoir session.
