Tea Infused Vodka // Food Photographer

Food Photographer, Vodka, Tea+

My dear friend Dinah, author of FunandFlirTea.com, asked me to help her out with a few photographs for her blog post on tea infused vodka.  What?!  Honestly, it sounded a little gross to me but hey, whatever floats your boat.  When she got to my house she handed me a bottle of Absolut Vodka that had turned a beautiful golden brown.  If nothing else, I could appreciate the color and the fact that infusing alcohol is pretty damn fun.  I was finally persuaded to taste the stuff and I have to say, YUM!  So yummy, in fact, that Dinah filled up a little bottle for me to add to my liquor cabinet.  I won’t go into the details on how it was made because you can read all about that on her blog post, but I just couldn’t help sharing some of the photographs with you.

Have you made an alcohol infusion?  I’d love to hear about it if you have!  I think next time we’re going to infuse some tea into a clear rum and make Moroccan Tea Mojitos.  Let the adventures begin!

Kim - I’ve never made infused vodka before, but my first wedding of this season had bottles of different homemade flavored vodka for all the reception tables… I saw some crazy stuff! Raisin and Pepper standing out the most. Also, tea infused vodka doesn’t sound weird to me ‘cos I luuuv me a sweet tea vodka lemonade! 🙂ReplyCancel

Bria - Kim- I think I remember reading something about the flavored vodkas on your blog. Such a cool favor idea! Andrew and I made some infused tequila a couple years ago with mango, peach, and jalepeno which was really good but a bit too strong. I just love how the alcohol soaks up the flavors though and it’s so easy to do. Some day I’d like to have a whole collection of my own unique infusions in a pretty little home bar. 😉ReplyCancel
