Something for the Weekend

Newport Oregon Beach House photographed by Briana Morrison+

Hello and happy Friday!  This week has been full of packing, cleaning, shopping, and prepping for Andrew and my month-long road trip to California.  We leave Tuesday for a few weeks of family, friends, and Southern California adventures.  I’ve been trying to focus on how amazing and exciting my life is but a part of me is longing to stay home.  I haven’t fully recovered from my adventures this summer and the thought of living out of a suitcase for another month is a little daunting.  Still, we have a good friend housesitting for us and the entire trip will be spent with the very best company.  While I spend the next few days putting the finishing touches on my travel arrangements, here are a few of my favorite links from around the web to keep you entertained:

I’m more than a little excited to get my new iPhone 6s, mainly because my iPhone 5 is on its last leg, which is why I created some new iPhone cases with images from Rome, plenty of cats, and an all-seeing-eye for good measure.

I absolutely love this photo scanning guide and gift idea from Artifact Uprising.

This video of Amanda Palmer’s Naked Statue Book Drive is amazing.  That woman!  So much respect.

I recently found some of my stock photos on two click-bait articles from Elite Daily.  This one is surprisingly poignant and this one is pretty typical.

Andrew and I are planning to go to Wordstock, a book festival, at the Portland Art Museum this November. Book geeks unite!

I’ve been looking for some new vegetarian breakfast ideas and I’m thinking about trying this breakfast polenta from 101 Cookbooks.  Speaking of which, I am more than delighted with my copy of Heidi’s latest cookbook, Near & Far.

This summer Plywerk listed me as one of their top 5 wedding photographers from around the country.  I’m honored!

Since it is now officially fall, I’m thinking a visit to one or two of the scariest haunted places in Oregon is in order.  Who’s in?

And last, but definitely not least, this is my new scooter riding anthem – Downtown by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. <3
