Something for the Weekend

Polaroid of a Las Vegas Hotel by Briana Morrison+

This last month has flown by in a whirlwind of travel prep, hosting, cleaning, volunteering, and planning. On May 5th I will board a flight bound for New York then Berlin, the city I’ll be calling home for at least a month this summer. After Berlin will be a whirlwind of travel with destinations including Hamburg, Amsterdam, potentially Copenhagen, Prague, Morocco, or Italy, Iceland (for a few hours anyway) and then back to New York, home, then California.

Throughout the whole adventure I will be focusing on two things, photography and connection. The last few months, nearly a year, of working for myself has been absolute bliss but I miss human connection. It is too easy for me to fall into a routine that keeps me at home, working from my desk or the couch, snuggling with the kitties, leaving the house for photo shoots or food as needed. This summer adventure will be a lesson in getting out of my comfort zone, meeting and photographing strangers, and forging connections that will hopefully last a lifetime.

I would love any recommendations for what to see and do in the locations I’ve listed above. If you or anyone you know would be interested in collaboration or connection please get in touch.

In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites from around the web to help ease you into your weekend. Enjoy!
