Beam & Anchor // PNW Favorites

One of the most exciting things about moving to a new city (a new state, or a new country) is all the exploration ahead of you.  You’ve taken a leap and moved your whole life to somewhere new and mysterious.  Now it’s time to discover and befriend your new home.

My transition to Portland was quick, but my exploration of the city and surrounding areas has been slow and gentle.  I’ve been easing myself into this city for a few months now, secluding myself in my beautiful apartment and making it feel like home.

Now I’m ready to go out and explore and I’d like to share my findings with you…

One of the first places I knew I had to visit is a shop called Beam & Anchor.  This space is full of handmade, curated goods from Portland and around the country.  In addition to the shop, a number of artisans have workshops on premises where they create many of the goods found in the store.

This post holds a small sampling of the goodies found at Beam & Anchor.  If you’re ever visiting Portland, I highly recommend you check them out for yourself!

Meg - I look forward to reading/seeing a lot more of your wanderings around your new area. From everything I have read and heard, I reckon your new town is a pretty super place to live and explore. It is a bit of a beacon, showing it is possible to relocalise an economy.ReplyCancel
