Graeagle, California is a special place. This tiny mountain town is home to a few but loved by many families all over the West Coast. I was fortunate to have family in the area and remember spending the 4th of July watching fireworks over the Mill Pond and summers backpacking around local lakes when I was a kid.
When Katie and Sean first mentioned they were getting married in Quincy, CA then hosting their reception at the Graeagle Corner Barn I couldn’t have been happier. I’ve always wanted to be a Graeagle wedding photographer and this was my chance.
The day after my 29th birthday, I boarded a plane destined for California to photograph a magical mountain wedding in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and on Saturday October 12, 2013 Katie Reid and Sean Harris made a promise to love and cherish each other, forever and always.
The small Catholic church was full to the brim with their family and friends and it was amazing to witness the amount of love and support that filled the room. Everyone worked to make Katie and Sean’s day come together perfectly, even the horses! With my husband by my side, Andrew and I documented Katie and Sean’s wedding as if it were our own, making sure to capture each and every detail.
It was an honor to share in their day and I’m especially glad these clients have become friends.
