When I visited Las Vegas in 2013 to assistant produce Film Season 2 I fell a little bit in love with the city. I took my focus off of the flashy modern strip and went off the path to discover grand cityscapes, rad vintage shops, and more than a little grungy graffiti art.
When Eleanor told me that Youssef and herself were planning to elope to Las Vegas and wanted to take me with them I couldn’t have been more excited. I proudly proclaim that I am a Las Vegas elopement photographer, and I can’t wait to go back!
Eleanor wore a shimmering gold gown accented by a traditional floor length veil and Youssef was decked out in a three piece navy wool suit… in 110 degree hotter than hell August weather. CRAZY and pretty damn awesome.
They said their vows at the Bellagio and were officially blessed by Elvis himself while wandering the old Vegas strip. Was Elvis drunk? A definite yes! He gave them some slurred advice and stumbled on his way, spiked Coke in hand.
We drank fancy cocktails, ran into a creepy guy in an American flag banana hammock (I’ll spare you that image!), were cheered on by drunken tourists, and found our way to a peaceful skyline view in the middle of the city.
Eleanor and Youssef are without a doubt one of my favorite couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with and I’m sure we’ll meet again next time I hop over the sea. They were full of laughter, smiles, and spontaneous energy – a perfectly matched pair!
