Mt Hood Organic Farms is one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in the Pacific Northwest and April & Ivan’s wedding is such a great example of why people choose to get married here. Even when the skies are grey and Mt Hood is covered in clouds, such as it was on this day, you really can’t go wrong with this beautiful place. Thanks to this fab wedding I can officially call myself a Mt Hood Organic Farms wedding photographer and can’t wait to shoot there again.
April and Ivan got married on a stormy September day but that didn’t stop them from having one hell of an amazing wedding. Their ceremony was held outside, in between rain storms. The couple stood under a gorgeous antique metal arch covered in white flowers while their guests and wedding party enjoyed some cosy seating on the lawn. April and Ivan’s guests were full of laughter and tears throughout the ceremony and were full of hugs and congratulations for the newlyweds as they made their way down the aisle.
While the bride stole away for a wardrobe change, their guests gathered in the glass barn to listen to the live string band, play lawn games, drink cocktails + fresh apple juice, and have their way with the Polaroid camera and guest book.
After gathering on the lawn in front of the wildflower garden for a large group portrait everyone made their way inside for a much anticipated meal. Cultivate Catering delivered a wonderful farm to table meal, some of the best wedding catering I’ve had!
After dinner the usual festivities ensued: Romantic sunset portraits, heart warming toasts, cake cutting… and smashing, killer dance moves, and of course, an after party at Whiskey Tango in Hood River.
I photographed this super fab wedding with my friend Kelly of June Lion.
