Their love story in a nut shell…
“We met at church volleyball. We were friends first. New Year’s Day we KNEW.”
This was my first time photographing a Portland LDS Temple wedding and OMG was it pretty!
While Kelsey and Jared were inside the temple doing all the sacred things and committing their lives to each other, my husband and I captured their families just outside. There was so much joy and anticipation to see the young newlyweds that when they finally came through the temple doors the family burst into cheers.
After the ceremony we took family portraits at the reflection pool and then excused the family to the reception while we stayed behind to get some beautiful bride and groom portraits at the temple. Right when we finished with portraits the skies broke open – the timing couldn’t have worked out better.
Kelsey and Jared held their reception in North Portland’s Baker Building. There were lots of fun personal touches including a DIY mocktail bar, selfie station, and a table full of cakes that were way too tempting for little fingers.
After some wild dancing Kelsey and Jared said goodbye to their guests, made their way through an epic streamer cannon exit, and drove off in their overly decorated escape vehicle with a honeymoon in their sights.
That’s What They Said – A 5 Star Review!
100% RECOMMEND! I talked to a bunch of different photographers in planning my wedding, but Bria stood out with her balance of professionalism and super funky fun BEFORE we had even chosen her. We were simply floored with how she handled everything and the little things she did to celebrate with us and make us feel truly special. The person she is totally translates into the lovely photos she produces. Words don’t even describe how grateful we were that we chose her for our wedding!
