I met Gina while I was working an independent little print shop up in Portland, Oregon. She came in to have her wedding stationery printed and I knew right away that I wanted to work with her. Gina has a bright, creative, and super fun spirit and DJ is her perfect match.
Gina & DJ decided to draw inspiration for their wedding from Gina’s art history background and DJ’s love of music. Throughout these images you will find beautiful record album art and Andy Warhol inspired decor, including their wedding cake custom made to look just like Andy’s illustration. Gina designed the wedding stationery herself, made Andy Warhol style Campbell’s Soup labels, created a lovely Mostera Deliciosa leaf ceremony backdrop, and designed a super rad balloon entrance to their ceremony & reception site at The Cleaners. She and DJ asked a friend create a beautiful custom cat print for their entrance and they even wrote up a traditional artist statement for their wedding cake.
Their wedding was small and perfect. Their gusts had a great time (as illustrated by the loads of laughing gust photos below), the day was bright and beautiful, and every detail came together just as Gina had imagined. Gina even loaded me up with gourmet gluten free cupcakes and custom designed sugar cookies before I left for the evening. She rolled my bag out the door for me and stopped to say hi to my puppy and husband, in that order. I couldn’t believe it!
Gina and DJ had one of the most amazing, fun- filled weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing and they treated me like a good friend throughout their day. I couldn’t be happier for these two!
