A Stylish Coopers Hall Wedding
Emily and Ben took their wedding day and made it their own in so many ways. After getting a few quintessential getting ready candids they came together for their first look and couple’s portraits in Portland’s Laurelhurst Park.
In lieu of choosing a traditional wedding party, Emily and Ben decided to meet all of their friends before the ceremony and honor them with a giant champagne toast. This was a great time for them to bond with their guests and get some fun candid photographs that really captured the spirit of the group.
When the Champagne ran out they all hopped on a pink Portland trolly and made their way to Coopers Hall. Family portraits, the ceremony, and reception all took place in this modern, industrial winery in the heart of Portland. Ben made a beautiful wood backdrop for their ceremony, they DIY’d the florals on the tables, and they designed their own paper products including menus and invitations.
Every detail was thought out and the primary focus of their wedding day was to have fun with their friends and family. The entire day was absolutely bursting with love and laughter and so much joy for these two who finally said “I do.”
That’s What They Said
Briana’s photos of our wedding are an absolute treasure. They are so beautiful, so “human”. They capture the spirit of the day in an incredible way! The lighting & colors are amazing – but I am most impressed with her framing & ability to find & capture special moments. It is so fun to look through them & see so many of our favorite people captured so beautifully!
Briana was great to work with – very professional but also so friendly & casual. She did a great job of helping us to feel comfortable during our engagement shoot & by the time our wedding came around we were so comfortable with her, it was like having a friend shoot our wedding. Many of our guests commented on how our photographers (she had a 2nd shooter with her) did a great job of placing themselves where they weren’t “in the way” during the ceremony & beyond.
They were very respectful of the moment & maintained a cool, collected energy throughout the day. I appreciated her pacing during family photos as well – she moved quickly & casually & the pictures all feel very natural – not stuffy or too formal. I would highly recommend Briana again to my next friend getting married!
